Guatemala 2009
With this program, GRO sent a delegation to Guatemala for the first time. Prior to the trip, we had a steady line of communication with our contacts in Guatemala and we were excited to bring a group of U.S. Delegates to meet with Guatemalan delegates and focus on two primary issues identified in Guatemala: Education and Community Development. GRO offers a peer-to-peer program that matches up American Delegates with Deaf Guatemalan Delegates. The two groups merged to share cultural experiences and issues within their respective Deaf communities.
