Kenya 2009
GRO has established a line of communication with Kenya! Our Kenyan delegation was located on the east coast of Kenya, Africa near the town of Nairobi and the program took place July 29th to August 20th. The focus of the program was to establish a Kenyan Youth Leadership Camp. The U.S. and Kenyan Delegates worked together to develop a curriculum for a 2-week camp aimed at Deaf Kenyan high school students. The program included hands-on work and the opportunity to do community development on various projects.
